Last week CMA were lucky to receive a visit from Medical Mavericks who brought an awesome mobile hospital into the classroom. The workshop was lead by two student doctors and pupils from Year 9 & 10 discussed job opportunities within the healthcare sector and had the chance to use an ultrasound machine, record and print an ECG and take blood from a fake arm using a real needle. Hassan from Year 9 said ‘Overall the session was very interesting and it showed me that there isn’t just one route to becoming a doctor, it was really inspiring and provided us with lots of information about the different paths you can take into the medical profession’.
